About Mary Grace Landrum, Principal, Landrum & Associates

Mary Grace Landrum is the principal of Landrum & Associates, an HRD consulting firm specializing in employee and organizational effectiveness solutions. She brings a dynamic mix of experience and perspectives from varied industries, including energy, telecommunications, shipping, and health care, as well as public sector clients in government and community service. She has provided workforce development consulting and management services for several Fortune 100 companies.

Ms. Landrum has assisted client organizations in increasing employee retention by designing leadership curricula for supervisors and managers and facilitating customer service and leadership courses to help all employees make sound business decisions and attract and retain customers.

Before starting her own business, Ms. Landrum was Manager of Training and Organizational Development for ARCO Pipe Line Co. and Columbia Gulf Transmission Company. She was responsible for developing curricula to improve the leadership skills of all managers, developing and tracking compliance training, and implementing performance management programs. Ms. Landrum's combination of enthusiasm and practical experience also kept her in demand as a classroom facilitator.

Landrum is a recognized leader in professional and civic organizations. She is past president of a 700-member professional association, and has chaired national committees for the Association for Talent Development and chaired committees for the Houston West Chamber of Commerce. She has served on numerous non-profit boards and was an elected trustee of Spring Branch I.S.D. Appointed in 2011 by the Governor of Texas as State Service Commissioner, she is currently appointed to her 3rd term.

Landrum and was recognized for her leadership and service by the Southern Gas Association, being the first Human Resource Professional in 80 years to receive their Distinguished Service award. She has spoken on the topic of distance learning at national and regional conferences. She holds a Master's in Education from the University of Texas at Austin and has served as Adjunct Professor at the University of Houston. In 2015, she was honored as the Alumni of the Year for work in education by Franciscan University.
